Hello! I am a birth doula, educator and lactation consultant (IBCLC) local to the Blue Mountains. I have a research background, having conducted a PhD in the biological sciences field, and also a teaching background, having coordinated units and lectured at the local university. I am consequently able to synthesise research information from a variety of sources and provide it in an easy to understand, concise manner for those who require that support. As a doula, I have attended many births, and coordinate several pregnancy and parenting groups both in person and online. As a lactation consultant, I have counselled hundreds of women on their breastfeeding journeys, and continue to provide evidence based information and support to those I have the opportunity to help. My lactation consultancy journey began as a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association, and consequently mother to mother support and advocacy is at the core of my approach.
