I am the Victorian Project Officer at Family Drug Support Australia (FDS) and responsible for running support groups, community workshops and the FDS' flagship program ‘Stepping Stones to Success’ for families affected by problematic alcohol and drug use. In 2015, after personal experience of managing a family member’s substance use, I decided to volunteer for FDS on their national support line. I believe families are the experts in their own situation and with the right support systems in place can learn to cope and grow along their journey. I also have a background in case management for people receiving unemployment benefits, and am currently in the final year of my degree to become a social worker. I am usually available to take appointments on Fridays between 1pm and 3pm. Once you have made contact, I can usually reply within 72 hours to confirm the day and time. If you require support in the meantime, you can contact our 24/7 telephone support service on 1300 368 186.
